Red Raven Bats Come Alive in Two Victories Over OKWU JV

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball Team gained a couple of run-ruled victories as they defeated the OKWU JV 10-0 and 10-0 in the home doubleheader.  With the two wins, the Red Ravens improved their overall record to 14-25.

Game #1 - 10-0 Win (5 innings)

In the first game of the afternoon, the Red Ravens scored 5 runs in the bottom of the third on their way to the 10-0 victory.  Coffeyville pounded out 10 hits in the game including a home run by Red Raven red-shirt freshman George Andrews and triples by sophomore Carson Schrack and freshman Carson Miller.  Red Raven sophomore righty Grant Edwards won his third game of the year pitching the complete game (5 innings) allowing no earned on only two hits while striking out six.

Game #2 - 10-0 Win (5 innings)

In the back end of the doubleheader, Coffeyville pounced in the bottom of the second inning scoring the first four runs in the 10-0 victory.  Red Raven sophomore center fielder Jaden Hill went 3-3 in the game including a triple and a double while Carson Schrack, freshman Kaleb Wise, and freshman Eric Bacon each collected two hits in the game.  Red Raven freshman righty Caleb Peek picked up his second win of the season pitching three strong with no earned on one hit and three strikeouts.
