Red Raven Head Coach Jake Martin Wins 200th Game as Red Raven Baseball Takes 3 of 4 Against SW CC

Pryor, Okla. - In a rare instance of a home game series being played in Pryor Oklahoma due to the Red Raven's field being under construction, the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball Team opened up their 2024 season winning 3 out of 4 against the Southwest Community College Spartans in an opening weekend series.  With the three victories, Red Raven Head Coach Jake Martin won his 200th game as the Head Coach of the Ravens.

 

Game #1 (Friday) - Victory 3-0

Game #1 of the season started extremely strong with Red Raven sophomore right-hander Ryan Leiker pitching 5 strong innings allowing no hits and striking out 10.  Offensively,  Red Raven sophomore center fielder Jaden Hill went 3 for 4 in the game including a double.

Game #2 (Friday) - Loss 6-3

Southwest Community College scored their first run of the day in the second inning with another two in the top of the second before Coffeyville responded by scoring three in the bottom of the third to tie it up.  The Spartans answered with three in the top of the fourth to end the scoring in the 6-3 loss for the Red Ravens.  Red Raven sophomore third baseman Carson Schrack went 3 for 3 in the game including a double.  Raven redshirt freshman George Andrews clubbed Coffeyville's first home run of the season.

Game #3 (Saturday) - Victory 7-4

In a coming-from-behind victory, Coffeyville scored seven runs after allowing three runs in the first inning to the Spartans.  Red Raven freshman left-hander James Wise earned the win for Coffeyville going four innings allowing three runs on three hits while striking out four.  Third baseman Carson Schrack, designated hitter George Andrews, and sophomore left fielder Christian Ammann all went two for three in the game.

Game #4 (Saturday) - Victory 3-2

In another come-from-behind victory, the Red Ravens scored single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the 3-2 victory over SW CC.  Red Raven freshman second baseman Carson Miller went two for three in the game.
