Angelica Collins

Angelica Collins came to Coffeyville in the fall of 2014 from Wando High School in Mount Pleasant South Carolina.

Collins immediately impacted the Red Raven Women’s Track & Field Team.  As a freshman, Collins set the school record in the Indoor Triple Jump at 12.49m (40’11.75”) while also earning NJCAA All-American status in the Indoor Long Jump, Indoor Triple Jump, Indoor 60m dash, the Outdoor 100m dash, and was the Outdoor Triple Jump National Champion.

Returning for her sophomore year, Collins ripped through the Red Raven record book setting school records in another four events including the Indoor 60m dash (7.44), the Indoor Long Jump (6.00m, 19’8.25”), the Indoor Triple Jump (12.37m, 40’7”), and the Outdoor Long Jump (6.14m, 20”1.75”).  Through her record-setting performances her sophomore year, Collins was the NJCAA Long Jump National Champion as well as an NJCAA All-American in the Indoor Triple Jump and the Indoor 60m dash.

Overall, Collins was a two-time NJCAA National Champion and a nine-time NJCAA All-American as a Red Raven.

After Coffeyville Collins had scholarship offers from Alabama, College of Charleston, Duke, Southern Illinois University, TCU, Texas Tech, Kentucky, and dozens of others.  Collins ultimately accepted a scholarship from Clemson University in the Atlantic Coast Conference.  While at Clemson, Collins was a three-time All-ACC performer and an NCAA Regional Qualifier.

Collins currently works in digital content and has worked for companies like ESPN,
Marvel Studios, Tyler Perry Studios, New Edition, Teyana Taylor, Saucy Santana,
Warner Brothers Media, and Brawlhalla.
