Justin Victor arrived at Coffeyville Community College after graduating from DeRidder High School in DeRidder, Louisiana in 2010. While in high school Victor played football and competed in track for the DeRidder Dragons. In track, Victor threw the Shot-Put for the Dragons and obtained his personal best of 53 feet before being recruited by Coach Robert Wood of Coffeyville Community College.

While attending Coffeyville Community College Victor learned how to throw the Hammer and the Weight Throw while moving away from throwing the Shot-Put. In 2011, Victor claimed All-American honors in both the Hammer and Weight throw setting school records as he goes. In 2012 Victor claimed two more All-American honors while claiming two NJCAA National Championships. Victor was the NJCAA National Champion in the 2012 Indoor Weight Throw and the National Champion in the 2012 Outdoor Hammer. Victor closed out his career at Coffeyville Community College with two school records, one in the Weight Throw (58ft 8 inch) and another in the Hammer (200 ft 1 inch).

After attending Coffeyville Community College, Justin Victor transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as a Ragin’ Cajun. While at UL - Lafayette, Victor finished as a two-time Sun Belt Conference Champion in both the Indoor Weight Throw and the Outdoor Hammer. Victor qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Regionals in 2013 and again in 2015. In 2014 Victor qualified for the NCAA Indoor National Championships with the Weight Throw where he then placed 9th overall. Victor also qualified for the USA Indoor National Championships in 2015 where he finished 11th in the country. Victor finished up his career at ULLafayette with two school records that still stand today, the Weight Throw (69 ft 0 inch) and the Hammer (219 ft 8.5 inch)

While at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Victor met teammate Amber Sharp which then lead to marriage in May 2016. The Victors now have three children Quinn (4), Zane (3), and Reid (6mo). After getting married, the Victors moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where he served as a Fire Fighter/Captain at Chennault Fire Department until 2021. In March of 2021, Victor accepted a position where he currently serves the U.S. Army at Fort Polk Fire Department.
