Paris Daniels graduated from Normandy High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 2008. While a freshman in high school, Paris finished 3rd at the state championship meet in the 800m. Paris then went on to win back to back state titles in both the 200m and 400m her junior and senior years of high school.

As a highly sought after recruit, Paris chose to attend Coffeyville Community College after high school. She spent two years as a Red Raven. “When Paris chose us we were beyond excited. I credit her with changing the landscape of our program at the time,” said Head Track and Field Coach Craig Perry.

As a college freshman in 2009 Paris earned All American Honors on the indoor track for the women’s 200m and the 4x400m relay. During that outdoor season, she earned All American honors in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

During her sophomore season, she again earned the honor of All American on the indoor track in the 400m. During that outdoor season, Paris won the 400m National Championship with a still-standing school record of 53.35 seconds and earned two more All American awards for the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

In her quest for continued collegiate success on the track after Coffeyville, Paris was again a highly sought after athlete. After various scholarship offers and visits to the University of Oklahoma, the University of Houston, the University of Arkansas, and Louisiana State University, Paris decided to attend the University of Kansas for the remainder of her collegiate career. While at KU, Paris was overall a 13-time All American, a 2-time Big 12 Champion in the 200m on both the indoor and outdoor tracks respectively, and was part of the 4x100m and 4x400m relays that won Big 12 Championships. She also finished 4th overall at NCAA Nationals in the 200m on the outdoor track. In 2013 Paris was an integral part of the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championship team for the University of Kansas. She graduated from KU in 2013 with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology.

After college, she went on to run professionally for two years. When the US Olympic Trials began in 2012 Paris made her way to the 2nd round in the 200m. Then, in 2014 she was a member of the USA World Relays team for the 4x200m, an amazing accomplishment. Paris now lives and works in Lawrence, Kansas.
