2002 Red Raven Men's Basketball Team

The 2001-2002 Red Ravens Men’s Basketball Team was a special one. On the year, the program went 36-2 while going 18-0 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. Not only did the team have a successful regular season, but the team, led by Head Coach Jay Herkelman, ran through the Region VI Tournament beating Seward 75-68 in the championship game.
 
The team went all the way to the National Junior College Athletic Association championship game where they faced off against Dixie State College of Utah. The Red Ravens were defeated 82-81.
 
The Red Ravens were represented in the postseason awards as well.
