CJ Johnson will be in his 1st year in 2019 as the Defensive Line coach for the Red Ravens.

Coach Johnson comes to Coffeyville a year after serving as the Defensive Line coach for the 2018 NJCAA National Champions, East Mississippi College.  While a member of the 2018 East Mississippi defensive coaching staff, Coach Johnson's defensive line helped the defense rank first in points per game (PPG) at 11.2, fourth in pass defense (117.1) and 2nd in sacks (48).

In 2017, Coach Johnson spent the football season as a Graduate Assistant at Florida Atlantic University and the 2016 season as a graduate assistant at East Mississippi College.

Coach Johnson played professionally as a linebacker for the New England Patriots for a brief period of time (2016).

Collegiately, coach Johnson played at the University of Mississippi where he served as a team captain for four years.  Johnson also received his Bachelor's degree (Criminal Justice) from the University of Mississippi.
