Tony Leiker
Defensive End (1983-84)
 
 
Tony Leiker graduated from Silver Lake High School in Silver Lake, Kansas in 1983.  Leiker was such a force for his high school football team that Silver Lake High School retired his jersey.
 
After high school, Leiker came to Coffeyville Community College where he played football on the 1983 and 84 teams. Those Red Raven teams had a combined record of 21-3. Leiker was an anchor for the defense playing defensive end and defensive tackle positions.
 
Following Coffeyville, Leiker received a football scholarship at the prestigious Stanford University.  While at Stanford, Leiker earned NCAA All-American Honorable Mention honors along with All Pac-10 honors. Leiker graduated from Stanford earning a BA in economics in 1988.
 
Leiker’s NFL career began as a 7th round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 1987 draft.  Leiker played an injury-plagued year with Green Bay followed by a short stint with the Minnesota Vikings before injuries forced his release and retirement from the NFL.
 
After his time in the NFL, Leiker earned his Law Degree from the University of Oregon in 1992.  That same year he passed the bar exam in Las Vegas, Nevada.
 
Leiker has had a long and active career as a lawyer.  Over the years, Tony has worked as a deputy District Attorney in Nye County, Nevada followed by a stint as a Las Vegas city prosecutor. 
 
Tony eventually opened his own law firm in 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada practicing in criminal defense, family law and personal injury.  
 
He currently maintains his own law firm in Elko, Nevada.
