Arkansas City, Kan. - The #4 seeded Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Volleyball Team lost their opening round matchup in the 24-25 NJCAA Div II Plains District A Volleyball Tournament to #1 seeded Cowley College 3-0. With the loss, Coffeyville ends their season with a 9-25 record.
Coffeyville's first-round playoff matchup was going to be a tall task as they were facing not only the #1 seed but also the undefeated #1 NJCAA-ranked Cowley College.
The Red Ravens gave the Tigers of Cowley their best shot but ultimately fell in three sets 25-14, 25-9, 25-9.
Red Raven Freshman Annabelle Bell led the team with 4 kills while sophomores Ashlyn Nelson and Daetyn Bogle each had 3. Freshman libero Ja'Nae Johns anchored Coffeyville's defense with 10 digs.
