Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Volleyball Team hosted a four-team quad round robin on Friday, September 22nd. Coffeyville played three matches on the day and came away with victories over John Brown JV (3-1), Rose State (3-1), and Bethany College JV (3-0). With the three victories, the Ravens improved their overall record to 14-8 on the season.
Game #1 Ravens - 3 John Brown JV - 1
Ravens won the first set 25-23, dropped the second set 25-20, and then rebounded to win set #3 25-21 and set #4 25-21.
Sophomore Macy Wayne led the Ravens with 13 kills while sophomore Alyssa Apel had 17 digs and freshman Olivia Murphy had 20 assists.
Game #2 Ravens - 3 Rose State - 1
Ravens won the first two sets (25-19, 25-15), dropped set #3 (25-23) and bounced back winning set #4 (25-23).
Freshman Madison Grekstas pushed the Raven offense with 14 kills while Apel led the defense with 26 digs and Murphy had 23 assists.
Game #3 Ravens -3 Bethan JV - 0
The Ravens took care of business against the Bethany JV sweeping all three sets (28-26, 25-8, and 25-17).
Grekstas again led the offense with 15 kills with Apel diving for 19 digs and sophomore Taylor Burns with 20 assists.
