Red Raven Volleyball Splits 4-Game Weekend Series in Beatrice NE

Beatrice, Neb. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Volleyball Team traveled this past weekend to Beatrice Nebraska where they played in a tournament hosted by Southeast Community College.  The Red Ravens won their two matches on Friday where they beat Iowa Lakes Community College (3-0) and Southeast Community College (3-2).  On Saturday, the Ravens played two more matches losing to North Platte Community College (0-3) and Cloud County Community College (1-3).  After the opening weekend tournament, Coffeyville's overall record for the young season stands at 2-2.

Red Ravens vs Iowa Lakes - Won 3-0

Red Raven freshman Sarah Madsen led the team with 11 kills while freshman Patience Whittaker led the team in digs with 34 versus Iowa Lakes.

Red Ravens vs Southeast CC - Won 3-2

Red Ravens vs North Platte CC - Lost 0-3

Freshman Alexcia Jones led Coffeyville with 9 kills versus North Platte while freshmen Alyssa Apel and Patience Whittaker both pitched in 12 digs.

Red Ravens vs Cloud County - Lost 1-3

Against Cloud, sophomore SariahSumpter along with freshman Sarah Madsen led the Ravens in kills with each pitching in 11 in the match.  Freshman Alexcia Jones led the team defensively with 20 digs.

Coffeyville heads back into action on Wednesday, August 24th with a road match at Neosho County.  The first serve is scheduled for 6:30 pm in Chanute Kansas.
