While waiting for their return trip to the NJCAA National Championships in West Virginia, the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Volleyball team received word that a few members of their team have earned recognition on the KJCCC Div II All Conference teams.
In leading their teams to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Charleston, West Virginia, Coffeyville's Delice Downing and Fort Scott's Lindsey Hill were named KJCCC East Co-Coaches of the Year.
Coffeyville sophomore Faith Simpson (537 kills, 336 digs) was named the Jayhawk East Most Valuable Player after helping the Red Ravens (39-2) to conference and district titles. Simpson also earned a First Team All-KJCCC selection.
Sophomores Seliann Conception and Danielle Dodge earned a nod onto the Second Team All-KJCCC team with their play at outside hitter and libero respectively.
Rounding out the All-KJCCC team for Coffeyville was freshman Zoey Schmidt earning a spot on the Honorable Mention All-KJCCC team.
The All-District A teams were also released with Simpson and Conception earning First Team honors and Dodge and sophomore Destiny Thomas earning Second Team honors.
