After finding out they had dropped to #2 in the most recent NJCAA poll, the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Volleyball team took out their frustration on their Montgomery county rival, the Independence Pirates. The Red Raven volleyball team came out and swept the Pirates 3-0 (25-16, 15, and 21) to earn the win.
Stat leaders for the Red Ravens in the contest included sophomore Faith Simpson with 13 kills, 7 digs and 13.5 points, sophomore Erianna Murray with 6 kills and 8 points and sophomore Danielle Dodge with 16 digs.
The #2 ranked Red Ravens will be in action later this week with matches against Lincoln Land CC and Kansas City CC this Friday (Sept 20) at the KCKCC tournament in Kansas City Kansas.
