The CCC Womens Volleyball team good first week of the season got even better. The Women started as the preseason #1 team, went 4-0 on the weekend in Wichita, and now swept the KJCCC East players of the week. The three girls who were honored are Danielle Dodge, Dekyra Dennis, and Adainez Reyes Rivera.
Danielle Dodge provided the top-ranked Lady Red Ravens with solid defense as Coffeyville went 4-0 at the NJCAA Junior College Volleyball Extravaganza in Wichita. Dodge finished with 59 digs and 13 blocks in four matches.
Dekyra Dennis had a stellar weekend while leading Coffeyville to wins over three ranked opponents, including wins over a pair of teams ranked among the top-four squads nationally. She averaged 12.5 assists per set and nearly two digs per set.
Adainez Reyes Rivera started the season with a bang as she led Coffeyville with 6.7 kills and 4.8 digs per set. She had 20 plus kills in all four matches, including 25 in a straight set win over Longview.
