Women Ranked 12th; Kichauna West 4th in the Country

The track season is off and running for the Coffeyville Women's Track and Field team. The Lady Ravens have competed in two events so far this season. The first event was an invite only held in Fayetteville, Arkansas by the University of Arkansas. The second event was "The Rumble in the Jungle" at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. 

Through the first two events the throwers have performed extremely well for the Ravens. The Ravens have two throwers who have qualified for four events at Nationals already in the short season. Daija Kiser's, Shot Put that measured 12.63m has here at 10th in the country. Along with her Weight throw of 14.42m that has her ranked at 13th in the country. Nu'uausala Tuilefano has also excelled in the Shot Put (12.39m) and Weight Throw (14.69m), these two events she is ranked 11th and 10th respectively.

The highlight of the young track season so far has been Kichauna West in the Triple Jump. Her mark is 11.27m which ranks her 4th in the entire country.

The women also boost a ranking of 12th in the entire country as a team according to USTFCCCA Polls & Rankings.

The Lady Ravens are back in action this weekend at the Pittsburg State University Invite only.
