The Red Raven women's soccer team played their first conference game of the year at home on Wednesday night (Sept 4th) against the Panthers of Neosho Community College. The Ravens were able to secure the win with a 2-0 victory which moved them to an impressive record of 5-0 to start their 2019 season.
Coffeyville jumped out early in the game to a 2-0 lead and were able to hold off the Panthers in the second half to earn the victory.
Sophomore Ashley Talley, from Neosho Missouri, scored the first goal of the game for the Red Ravens on a penalty kick to break open the scoring.
Coffeyville will return to action this Sunday (Sept 8th) with a home match at Veteran's Memorial Stadium against Iowa Central Community College. Game time is set for 1:00 pm.
