Women Use Offense to Win the Season Opener

The Red Ravens Womens Soccer team found a way to win a offensive battle 7 to 3 last Saturday against Metropolitan CC.

The Red Ravens women's soccer team started off the regular season by scoring an impressive 7 goals in their 1staway game of the season against Metropolitan Community College. Barely 10 minutes were played and the Red Ravens were already leading the game up 2-0 with goals coming from freshmen forwards Christine Kitaru and Isabelle Attenborough

Metro CC would fight back before the halftime whistle and the first half ended with the score was 3-2 in favor of the Red Ravens. Freshman midfielder Ana Ferriera scored the 3rd goal of the 1st half. The Red Ravens offense continued to put goals on the board with Christine Kitaru scoring a hat-trick in the 2nd half, making it 4 goals total for the game and fellow freshman midfielder Ashley Countryman scored her first goal of the season to cap off the game in the 88thminute. 

The Women will be back in action Tuesday the 28th against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College.
