
Colby, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Basketball Team jumped out early and defeated the Trojans of Colby Community College 77-36. With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their 2022-23 overall record to 7-3 including a 3-1 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) games.
What a first half for the Red Ravens! Coffeyville pummeled the Trojans in the first half building a 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 43-3 halftime lead.
Head Coach Tony Turner substituted liberally in the second half to get some minutes of experience for his bench as Coffeyville cruised to the 77-36 victory.
Sophomore Kennady Roach led Coffeyville with 22 points on 9-12 shooting including 3-5 from the 3-point stripe. Freshman Jordan Snyder pitched in 12 points and 7 rebounds as well as sophomore Cheyenne Banks, freshman Ray Richardson, and sophomore Kania Starks each helping out with 10 points apiece.
Coffeyville will return home for a matchup against the Grizzlies of Butler Community College on Wednesday, November 30th. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 pm in Nellis Hall.
