
Independence, KS - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Basketball Team defeated the Sterling College JV 79-33 on day #1 of the Indy Classic in Independence Kansas. With the victory, the Red Ravens' overall record improves to 2-0 on the young season.
The Ravens busted out to the gates from the start in this one, building an 18-4 lead by the end of the first quarter, and never looked back, cruising to the 79-33 victory.
The Ravens had 9 players score in the game with guards Paige Scott and Makenzie Davis tieing for game-high honors with 12 points each. Raven sophomore Faith Simpson pitched in 9 points and Devin Wright, Martina Aeschliman, and Cheyenne Banks all contributed 8 points each.
Coffeyville will return to action for day #2 of the Indy Classic on Saturday, November 6th as they will take on the Mountaineers of Eastern Oklahoma State in the noon matchup.
