Red Ravens Women's Basketball Suffer First Loss of Season over Thanksgiving Break

The Red Raven Women's Basketball team traveled to Hutchinson Kansas on Wednesday, November 26th to play the #9 ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons in the Ravens first scheduled Kansas Jayhawk Conference game.  The Red Ravens played hard but suffered their first loss of the year 71-53.

Coffeyville had two players in double figures in the game with sophomores Julia Calafell and Alana Kramer scoring 16 and 10 respectively.

The Red Ravens following that game up with a home game on Saturday, November 30th with a KJCCC conference game against Northwest Kansas Technical College.  Coffeyville earned the 54-51 victory.  The win moves the Ravens overall record to 11-1 on the season and 1-1 in KJCCC play.

Top player for Coffeyville in the game was freshman Tynica Gilmore with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

The Red Ravens will return to action on Wednesday, December 4th with a road game to Great Bend Kansas to play the Barton Cougars.  Game time is set for 5:30 pm.
