The Lady Ravens took on the Conquistadors of Dodge City in an exciting back and forth game of ties and lead changes. The Lady Ravens started off hot and battled adversity in the 3rd quarter and made a strong comeback in the 4th.
In the first half the Lady Ravens were helped out by fantastic defense and efficient shooting from the free throw line. Holding the Conquistadors to 22 points in the first half, getting 42% of the defensive rebounds, forcing Dodge City to commit 10 turnovers. Getting to the the line in a frenzy and being efficient when they got there, shooting an excellent 90.9%. The Ravens lead 28-22, at half.
In a very exciting second half, the Lady Ravens showed their hearts and how much they wanted this win. With four different lead changes and two ties an extremely back and forth and exciting half. The Ravens clutch shooting from Jayleen Cole, making 2 clutch 3's and securing the 55-49 win for Coffeyville. This exciting win improved their record to 3-14.
The Lady Ravens are back in action again Monday January, 14th against the Tigers of Cowley County Community College at 5:30 P.M.
