The Coffeyville Community College women's basketball team traveled to Chanute Kansas and defeated the Neosho County Panthers 88-71.
The story of this game was Red Raven freshmen forward Lucy Burke. Burke scored 27 points in the win on 12/17 shooting overall including 2/4 from the three point arc. Burke also was top rebounder for the Red Ravens pulling down eight boards.
As a team, the hot shooting by the Red Ravens continued with the team shooting 31/63 (49%) for the game.
Other contributors for the Red Ravens include sophomore guard Patriece Dodson (17 points on 5/8 three point shooting), sophomore guard Desiree Nelson (14 points), and sophomore guard Alanie Fisher (10 points).
The win improves Coffeyville's record to 6-5 overall and 5-3 in KJCCC conference play.
Next up for the Red Ravens will be their last game of the fall semester with a home game in Nellis Hall on Saturday, Dec 10th against Colby. The game is schedule with an afternoon tip-off of 1:00 pm.
