Red Ravens Softball Takes Down Rose State

The Coffeyville Red Ravens Softball team split their set of home opener games against Rose State. The Red Ravens lost the first game 4-5 in 9 innings then won their second game 10-9.  The Red Ravens are now 5-5.
 
In a nine inning--extra innings--game one, Sophomore Alyssa Dawson took the loss giving up sixteen hits, two walks, and four strikeouts. Sophomore Mateighia Tanner went three for five with three singles. Sophomore Makenzie Bill went two for four with two singles and one RBI. Sophomore Danielle Stover went two for four with two singles and 2 RBIs. The Red Ravens defense only had one error.
 
In game two, Sophomore Rebecca Luper was aggressive at the plate going two for three with two doubles and one RBI. Tanner had a single with 3 RBI's including the game winning Sacrifice Bunt to score Stover. Dawson took the win giving up zero hits and one strike out. Dawson also went two for four at the plate with a triple and a single with one RBI. The Red Ravens defense only had one error in the second game as well.
 
The Red Ravens Softball team travels to Forth Worth, Texas this weekend to play in the Cowtown Classic tournament.
