Red Raven Men's Soccer has Tough Start to Season

The Red Raven Men's Soccer Team has opened their 2019 season with hard effort, but wins have been hard to come by.

The Raven's men's soccer team has opened their season by going 0-3 in their first 3 matches.

The Ravens opened their season at home on Friday, August 23rd with a loss against Crowder College by a score of 0-2.

The Ravens second match was also at home on Sunday, August 25th against Metropolitan Community College.  In heartbreak fashion, the Ravens had a 1-0 lead going into the final seconds of the match when Metropolitan pushed the ball into the goal with six seconds remaining on the clock.  The Ravens could not get a goal in overtime and eventually lost 2-1 early in double overtime.  The lone goal by the Ravens was scored by freshman defensemen Luis Felipe Soares Fernandes from Clarentino Brazil.

The third game on the schedule saw the Ravens take to the road for their first travel of the season and head west to Pratt Kansas to take on the Beavers of Pratt Community College.  The road was not the Ravens friend in that the Ravens took another tough loss by a score of 5-0.

The Ravens look to get their first W of the season on Friday (Aug 30th) in a road game to Miami Oklahoma to take on NEO.
