Following a tough stretch that saw the Red Ravens struggle in multiple conference matches, the team was able to battle back and get some much needed confidence back with a dominant performance at home. The 1st half saw the Red Ravens failing to convert on multiple great chances, however the team made up for that in the 2nd half. The team took a 2-0 lead into the half. The combination of Seun Koya (assist) and Guilherme Bittencourt (goal) was successful once again this season to bring the 1st goal in the 27th minute. Sophomore Shelby Craig scored the 2nd goal of the half catching the keeper of his line with a great shot from distance. In the 2nd half the Red Ravens were red hot and were able to score 6 more goals. Matt Carey was able to find the back of the net twice, Guilherme Bittencourt scored his 2nd goal of the game, Seun Koya scored and assisted. Freshman Tanner Godinez and sophomore Brandon (Shaggy) Harper scored their first goals of the season to round of the goal glut of the 2nd half. Assists in the 2nd half came from: Vitor Matos, Jordan Mooney, Trent Spess and Jeffrey Solis
The Red Ravens will continue conference play on Saturday, October 6th, with a home match against Allen County CC.
