The start into conference play did not go well for the Coffeyville Red Ravens. After a scoreless first half it was Neosho scoring the first goal shortly after the start of the 2nd half. The early minutes of the 2nd half continued to be eventful as one Red Ravens player was sent off, Neosho scored their 2nd goal, and the Red Ravens were able to cut the lead into half despite playing a man down. All this happened within the first 15mins of the 2nd half. Freshman Bruno Maurillo Conceicao provided the assist for freshman Seun Koya, who chipped the goalkeeper from outside the box. Unfortunately, the momentum swung in Coffeyville's favor only for a couple of minutes as the 3rd goal was conceded shortly after and the Red Ravens were unable to come back.
