The Red Raven men's soccer team hosted conference opponent Allen County on Wednesday, September 13 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
In front of a packed stadium, the Red Raven defense proved to be outstanding on the night. After an early score by Allen, the Red Raven defense held the Red Devils scoreless for the remainder of the match.
Heading into the first overtime, the Red Raven defense swarmed the ball and intercepted many plays that the Red Devils tried to punch in. The Red Ravens pulled together and never let up on their intensity. You could feel the focus and intensity of the team as they directed each other and coordinating their attacks.
In the second overtime, the Red Ravens once again controlled the ball and played fierce defense. The men were able to get shots off at the Red Devils goal, barely missing on some opportunities.
The men are in action again, September 17 against Southwestern Illinois College at 2:00pm.
