Coffeyville, Kan. - The #14 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Men's Basketball Team avenged an early season overtime loss with a 94-78 defeat of the #13 ranked Dodge City Conquistadors. With the victory, the Red Ravens' overall record improves to 17-4 including an 11-4 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) games.  The 11-4 KJCCC record currently has Coffeyville sitting atop the 13-team KJCCC Division I Conference standings.

The Ravens opened the game on the cold side missing their first three shots which combined with four early turnovers had Coffeyville down 6-0 to the Conquistadors to start the game three minutes into the contest.  However, once Red Raven freshman guard Camian Shell drilled a three-pointer at the 17:00 mark of the first half to get Coffeyville on the board, the Ravens were off and running.  Over the next eleven minutes of game time, Coffeyville outscored Dodge City 28-16 on their way to taking a 51-40 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Coffeyville quickly expanded their lead into double digits and withstood a few runs that Dodge City was able to put forward but Coffeyville held strong down the stretch and secured the 94-78 victory.

Coffeyville had a good night shooting the ball hitting on 51% of their shots on the night compared to Dodge City's 40%.

Top performers for Coffeyville included freshman guard Landon Glasper who had 26 points (5/9 from three) and Camian Shell who had 18 points on 6/6 shooting from the floor.  Rounding out the double-digit scorers for the Ravens was sophomore forward Jordan Wildy who had 16 points and six rebounds.

Coffeyville looks to extend its four-game winning streak as they will host the Trojans of Colby on Saturday, January 28th.  Tip-off in Nellis Hall is set for 4:00 pm.
