
Liberal, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team placed four players in double figures in a road 81-64 victory over the Saints of Seward County. With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their 2022 overall season record to 15-12 including a 12-9 mark in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) games. The 12-9 conference mark currently has the Red Ravens sitting in fifth place in the thirteen team KJCCC Div I standings.
Midway through the first half of this one, Coffeyville held a 21-10 lead over the Saints and never looked back. Coffeyville led 36-25 at halftime and led by about ten points most of the second half in the final 81-64 victory.
Coffeyville was led by sophomore guard AJ McBride who went 5-8 from the three-point line and had a game-high 25 points. Sophomore Love Bettis followed with 21 points while Raven center Blaise Keita had a 17 point 13 rebound double-double on the night. Freshman guard Dayshawn Wiley rounded out the double-figure scoring for Coffeyville with 11 points.
Coffeyville will be back in action on Monday, February 21st with a 7:30 tip-off in Nellis Hall against the Trojans of Colby Community College.
