In a home Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) tilt, the #8 ranked Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball Team defeated the Pratt College Beavers 91-58. The win moves the Ravens' overall record to 4-0 and 2-0 in KJCCC play.
Coffeyville came into the game after a rewarding 20 point road victory earlier in the week over the #14 ranked Hutchinson Blue Dragons. In the first half against Pratt, Coffeyville looked to be a little sluggish after their big victory and allowed Pratt to hang around posting a slim three-point 35-32 halftime lead. The second half saw the Ravens come alive with a 15-2 run to push the game out of reach. The last 10 minutes of the game saw Coffeyville move into mop-up mode and cruise to the 91-58 victory.
Coffeyville sophomore Tylor Perry, looking very good in the early season, again led the Ravens with 21 points on 4/5 three-point shooting. Raven freshman big-man Blaise Keita held down the inside play with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Red Raven freshman Hayden Brittingham rounded out the double-figure scorers for Coffeyville posting 14 points and 7 rebounds.
Coffeyville will return to action this Wednesday, February 3rd with a road game at Garden City. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m.
