Ravens Fly Past the Tigers; Herkelman 2 Wins Away

The Ravens were untouchable against the Tigers of Cowley County in a 90-60 win. The Ravens boasted an impressive 50.7% from the field and forced the Tigers to commit 21 turnovers. In an impressive game, the Ravens blew up the tigers and move onto their 17th win of the season.

In the first half, the Ravens came out of the gate hot and fast. Going on a big 8-0 run, forcing the tigers to call an early time-out. The 3 ball was working for the Ravens in the first half, burying an impressive 5 3's. The Ravens also crashed the boards hard in the first half, snatching 6 offensive rebounds and 11 defensive rebounds. Ravens lead 54-26 in the first half.

In the second half it was all Coffeyville, continuing the trend from the first half, crashing the boards grabbing 13 offensive rebounds and 24 defensive rebounds. Keon Queen lead the team with a solid 24 points and 5 rebounds, leading the Ravens to another huge 90-60 win and improves their record to 17-2.

The win also moves Ravens Head Coach Jay Herkleman to within 1 win of tying the Region VI all time record for wins of 621 held by Francis Flax of Brown Mackie, and  2 wins away from breaking the record.

The Ravens are back in action again on Wednesday January 16, in Concordia, Kansas against the T-Birds of Cloud County Community.
