The Coffeyville Men's Basketball program has recently been ranked preseason #4 in the latest NJCAA poll. The 2017-18 sqaud finished the season at 29-5 winning the regular season Conference Championship, Region VI tournament, and went to the NJCAA National Tournament. The 2018-19 group looks to build on the tradition that has been built by Coach Jay Herkelman over the past 23 years.
The Red Ravens return All-Region VI pick Marvin Johnson, Second Team All-Conference Casey Benton, and Honorable Mention KJCCC Keon Queen. The Ravens also added Tevin Brewer from Eastern Oklahoma State who was a second team All Region II last season. The upcoming season looks to be an exciting one with the strong sophomore leadership along with the new additions of talented freshman.
Men's Basketball will open their season at home this Friday in the Community State Bank Classic. They will take on Fort Scott and the game begins at 7:00 pm.
