The Coffeyville Community College Men's Basketball team defeated the Seward County Saints 89-64.
The win pushes the Ravens overall record to 15-9 and their KJCCC record to 11-9.
Seventy seconds into the game the Ravens were behind 2-3. From that point forward, the Ravens went on a 13-0 run and never looked back. The Ravens held a halftime lead of 39-21 and outscored the Saints 50-43 in the second half to secure the 89-64 victory.
Coffeyville's scoring was a group effort with all five of the starters for the Red Ravens scoring in double figures.
The Ravens had a qualilty night from the floor shooting 35 of 70 (50%) overall and 8 of 21 (38%) from three. The Ravens led in all statistical categories included rebounds (42-29), assists (20-10) and turnovers (18-20).
Stat leaders for the Red Ravens included sophomore forward Jordan Taylor (21 points on 5 of 9 three pointers and 7 rebounds), freshmen guard Travis Washington (16 points and 7 assists), sophomore forward Tedrick Wolfe (13 points and 10 rebounds), freshmen Malik Keith (12 points) and sophomore forward Greg Poleon (10 points and 8 rebounds).
Coffeyville will return to action on Saturday, February 11th against the Panthers of Neosho County. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm in Nellis Hall.
