Aaron Flores is currently in his eighth year as Head Coach of the Red Ravens.

 

     Coach Flores led Coffeyville Community College to a 4-7 record in 2018 and is an overall 41-34 with the Red Ravens.   From the 2018 Red Raven season, Coach Flores had 13 players earn all conference honors with three 1st team, four 2nd team and six honorable mention. 

 

    Through his years at Coffeyville, Coach Flores has coached a total of five players to seven NJCAA All-American awards along with a total of 54 all conference performers and 2 KJCCC Defensive players of the year and one KJCCC Offensive player of the year.

 

       Prior to Coffeyville, Flores served as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Itawamba (Miss.) Community College in 2011. Prior to Itawamba, Flores completed ten years as Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kan. 

 

     In his ten years at Butler, the Grizzlies compiled a cumulative record of 105-12 (.897), played in nine bowl games, won nine Jayhawk Conference championships, and played in six national championship games, winning three (2003, 2007, 2008). Flores coached eight All-Americans at Butler including NJCAA All-American QB Zach Mettenberger, now playing in the NFL, and wide receiver Marcus Kennard in 2010.

 

     In addition to Mettenberger, Flores has coached several other QBs of note. Flores coached Cedric Stevens in 2001. Stevens played at Toledo as a junior and Tennessee-Chattanooga as a senior. In 2003, Flores guided Chad Wilmott who earned NJCAA All-American status before transferring to UAB. In 2004, Flores coached Zac Taylor who earned NJCAA All-American status that season. Zac Taylor would transfer to Nebraska where he was named 2006 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.  In 2017, Taylor was hired by Los Angeles Rams to be there Quarterbacks Coach. Flores also coached Press Taylor who would go on to play at Marshall. Press Taylor is with the Philadelphia Eagles working as their Quarterbacks Coach. 

 

     Flores coached three Region VI Offensive Players of the Year while at Butler, and he was named 2003 Offensive Coordinator of the Year by American Football Monthly Magazine.

 

     Prior to Butler, Flores was the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Flores started his coaching career at Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, Mo. After graduating from Olathe South High School, Flores played quarterback for Butler in 1990-1991. Flores then earned his B.S. Degree in Social Sciences from Emporia State University. Aaron is married to wife, Kristen, and the couple have two daughters, Ryann and Haley.
