CCC Dance Team brings home Superior Trophy from UDA camp in Warrensburg, MO

The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Dance team traveled to Warrensburg, Mo. to participate in the Varsity Spirit Universal Dance Association (UDA) Camp held July 29 – July 31 at the University of Central Missouri.

"It's always great to start a season off by going to UDA camp,” said Jessi Kebert, CCC Head Dance Coach. “The camp gives the dancers a chance to really push themselves and grow as dancers and as a team. I think it’s really important for our freshman members to go because it gives them a chance to see what it means to be a college dancer, and shows them exactly the type of athlete and ambassador that they should be striving to be throughout the season.”

The team participated in various workshops that focused on technical skills and competed in the Fight Song Competition. The team brought home a Superior Trophy, the highest award a team can get, for their Fight Song performance.

The team was also awarded ‘Most Improved Program’ over the past year.
