Hutchinson, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Cheerleading Team traveled to Hutchinson Kansas this past Sunday, March 7th, to compete in the Region VI Small Co-Ed Cheerleading Competition.
Overall, the Raven Cheer team placed 3rd overall out of the 6 teams competing.
Cheer Coach Carli Cunningham stated that "This cheer team has put in over 120 hours the past 8 weeks." Giesen goes on to say that "I know cheer isn't always seen as something hard or even seen as a sport especially if you have never been involved in it, but cheering and competing is definitely not for the weak. This team has suffered through injuries and a lot of setbacks but they have persevered and worked even harder when these things did happen!".
