Bechtel Throws No-Hitter; Baseball Sweeps Northwestern Oklahoma State JV

Ravens baseball headed to Alva, Oklahoma on Tuesday to take on the Northwestern Oklahoma's JV team for a mid-week doubleheader. The Ravens got in and got out run ruling their opponent in both games. Their performance was outstanding in all categories offensively, defensively, and holding Northwestern to zero runs in both games.

In the first game Sophomore Aaron Bechtel rolled through the opponents offense, going five innings with 6ks and kept the opponent hittless and scoreless. The No-Hitter by Aaron Bechtel is the first for the Ravens since Tyler Buss did it in 2014. The Ravens also came out the gates swinging early putting pressure on the defense and never let up. They forced their opponent to commit 6 errors and had 10 hits. Hitters Austin Trahan (4 RBI's), Zach Freeman (3 RBI's), and Noah Wallace (3 RBI's) were RBI machines. The Ravens had 7 stolen bases putting themself in scoring position to be hit in. All in all this was a great performance pitching and offensively by the Ravens leading them to a 14-0 win.

Sophomore Matt Hunt started on the bump in the second game for the Ravens, throwing 3 innings and allowing only 1 hit and recording 3 K's. Not only did the Ravens shove on the mound they were backed by huge offensive production. Noah Wallace racked up 3 RBI's and Zach Freeman had 3 hits and 1 stolen base. In total the Ravens racked up 7 hits and 9RBI's, and worked 8 walks. Ravens dominate Northwestern in game 2, 12-0.
