Red Raven Baseball Splits Home Double Header With Johnson County

The Coffeyville Community College baseball team split a home double header with the Johnson County Cavaliers.  The Red Ravens lost the first game 2-9, but were able to bounce back to take victory in the second game, 9-8.

The split puts the Red Ravens overall record at 12-13 and their Kansas Jayhawk Conference record at 5-7.

Game #1 saw the Red Ravens give up a 6 run fourth inning on the way to the 2-9 loss.

Offensively, Red Raven freshmen infielder Damon Jorgensen went 1 for 3 in the game with a 2 RBI triple in the third inning to score the only runs for Coffeyville.

Coffeyville jumped out early in game #2, scoring 6 runs of their own in the first two innings on the way to the 9-8 victory.

Red Raven sophomore Kyler Cook was the big stick for Coffeyville in game #2 going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI's.

The Red Ravens will return to action with a road game scheduled on Tuesday, March 21st against Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa Oklahoma.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
