The Red Ravens baseball program extends their conference winning streak to three as they beat Allen County three games to one.

Game 1: ACC 8 CCC 7

Coming off two consecutive strong starts, freshman Aaron Bechtel took the mound for the Red Ravens looking to continue his hot hand.  Bechtel struggled early locating his off speed and the Red Devils were able to capitalize.  Bechtel would end up lasting only 3 innings allowing 5 runs on 2 hits and still striking out 6. 

Defensively, the Red Ravens suffered some mishaps that allowed big innings.

Offesnively, sophomore center fielder Antonio Culotta went 2/4 with an RBI and two stolen bases.  Freshman first baseman Jorge Ortiz also added two hits going 2/3 with two doubles, and three RBI.  

Game 2: CCC 7 ACC 3

Looking to split the day, head coach Jake Martin sent freshman left hander Quinten "Lousiana" Romero to the mound.  Louisiana would go 6 innings allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and striking out 2.  The outing was the freshman's first win of his collegiate career.  

The strong start was exactly what the offense needed.  With Louisiana dealing on the mound, the offense took off scoring 3 in the second and 2 in the sixth.  

Sophomore outfielder Isaiah Wilson had a strong day at the plate going 2/2 with 2 runs and an RBI, while swiping two bases.

Freshman Hunter Reed would go 1/3 with 3 RBI and 2 walks.

Closing the door for the Red Ravens was sophomore Garon Johnson.  Johnson went 3 innings, allowing 1 run on no hits, striking out 5, and walking 2.

Game 3: CCC 2 ACC 0

This isn't a copy and paste recap of a game sophomore Gavin Heltemes started.  Heltemes once again had an outstanding start.  The sophomore threw a complete game (7 innings) shutout, allowing 6 hits, walking zero, and striking out 10. 

Heltemes has proven why he is considered one of the conference top starters with another strong start.  Four out of his last five starts have been complete game wins in which he has stuck out double digit batters in three of those games.  

The Red Ravens offense scattered five hits scoring two runs in seven innings.  Ortiz once again provided the offensive spark with an RBI double.  Sophomore short stop Damon Jorgenson also added an RBI.

Game 4: CCC 10 ACC 8

What a game for the Red Ravens and the offense!  In a game where they were down 7-4 heading into the 8th, the Red Ravens showed a tremendous amount of moxie as they scored six runs in the top of the 8th.  

Hunter McMahon started game four looking to take the series.  His changeup and curveball were located very well, but McMahon had trouble locating his fastball.  The freshman threw 4 innings allowing 4 runs on 4 hits while striking out 5.

Highlighting the offense in game four would once again be Culotta.  Culotta went 2/6 with 3 RBI.  Wilson also was once again heavily involved as he went 2/4 with an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base.

The bullpen stepped up in a major way for Martin, as they would go 5 innings and keeping the game in reach waiting for the offensive explosion.  

Johnson once again came up big, going 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 3.
